São Paulo/Congonhas Airport – Deputado Freitas Nobre, or simply Congonhas Airport, ( IATA : CGH , ICAO : SBSP ) is a Brazilian domestic airport located in the municipality of São Paulo, the second busiest in the country. The airfield is located in the south of the city.

Today it is the second in number of passengers and aircraft and the first in the Infraero network. It operates at the limit of the capacity of its runways, with 536 commercial flights per day, which is equivalent to a landing or takeoff every 2 minutes during its opening hours, from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm.

The Congonhas airport complex covers an area of approximately 1.6 million square meters, with two runways with a capacity for up to 41 operations per hour, and a passanger terminal with capacity to serve approximately 6,500 passengers per hour. The main runway is equipped with the ALS and ILS instrument landing systems, which allow safe operations in adverse conditions, in addition to reducing closures due to bad weather.
